Time to Start Reading Again

To all my patient patients and followers, thank you for your patience waiting for a new post.

So for all of you that may have had your cataracts done or purchased new spectacles recently and now that the cloudiness of vision has been lifted I have compiled a short list of entertaining books to read. You really have no excuse now not to read.

1.  The Rules of Backyard Cricket by Jock Serong.

Be warned, once started this gripping tale will invoke childhood memories and have you so engrossed that you may neglect others until you have finished.

2. The Dry by Jane Harper.

Whilst reading The Dry I swear I could feel the unrelenting heat on my skin and taste the dust of a hot dry Victorian town. Also very hard to put down once started.

3. Force of Nature by Jane Harper.

The follow up novel to The Dry was also a gripping read. Really enjoyed this also. Captures the feel of conditions totally opposite to those of The Dry.

4. The American

5. The Few

6.The Hit

By Nadia Dalbuono.  These books  feature Detective Leone Scarmarcio. You can visualise the streets and feel the vibe of Rome. I recommend buying some Italian treats and an espresso to put you in the zone.

7. The Hap and Leonard Novels by Joe R. Lansdale.

These no holds bar books give a great take of the American Deep South.

Thanks for indulging me and have a happy reading Christmas.
